Every year Mulkern Landscaping & Nursery donates plants to the Punahou Carnival. The carnival raises money for the more than 500 students on financial aid at Punahou School. Many of the Waimanalo nurseries donate plants to stock the Plant Booth. This year Mulkern Nursery donated almost $1,000 in plants to Punahou now on sale. Plants we donated include Dwarf Golden Bamboo, Bronze Bromeliads, assorted Bougainvillea, a 7 foot tall Fiji Fan Palm and more.
Our own Susan Mulkern, Mulkern Landscaping’s Vice President, graduated from Punahou. (She banned me from posting her graduation year.) She will never forget the time she spent at Punahou and getting ready for the Carnival with her classmates.
