Nursery owners and operators are invited to this workshop on Water Management Strategies: Irrigation Management and Vetiver Workshop. The workshop will be held at Mulkern Nursery in Waimanalo on March 7, 2014 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This workshop will focus on best management practices (BMPs) that have the potential of improving the Waimanalo Watershed. Various speakers will speak about installing microirrigation, irrigation management, the conservation benefits of vetiver and how to successfully establish vetiver. Also, the workshop will include information on different types of financial assistance available to landowners to implement BMPs.
